The Transit Lounge
Overview
The Uniting Church of Australia had been Joomla and it's publishing capabilities to write and publish their news articles and blog posts online since 2008. Now with new emerging technologies and methods, it was time for an upgrade of the old Transit Lounge website and bring it into 2011.
Solution
PB Web Development pulled apart the existing Joomla website and migrated all of the content over to a content construction kit called K2. This allowed for many new features and methods of publishing that we're not already available in the current version of Joomla.
Utilising the new publishing features allowed the editors and writers to concentrate purely on writing content for the website rather than editing images, capturing screen shots and trying to figure out what to publish where. Tagging and dynamic publishing allows the editors to easily move and manage where and what gets posted around the website.
