One valuable resource web designers and web developers get ideas and inspiration from is magazines. One magazine that I have a subscription to is the Web Designer magazine from the UK.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this month's issue roll out with a huge Joomla logo on the front cover and an in-depth 6 page article about the Joomla CMS. For once these magazines aren't talking about WordPress.

Google +1 for Joomla

On the 28th of March, Google announced a new social recommendations system for the web called "Google +1". It will work in a similar way to Facebook's Like button but will appear all over the web including websites, Google search results and Google paid results. Wish List of Features for K2 2.6 + Joomla 1.6

So there is finally a release announced for K2 and Joomla 1.6. Yay! One of our favourite content construction kits is finally going to be upgraded into a Joomla 1.6 component.

On hearing the news, I went around and looked for some notes on what will be released and what will change in the new versions that are coming out, 2.5 and 2.6 in May, and I can't find a thing!

There is a little bit of talk about what MIGHT be in the new versions but nothing as yet that has been confirmed.…

CrazyEgg Integrator for WordPress

This new plugin it the CrazyEgg integrator for WordPress. It allows for the easy insertion of the code that is required to get CrazyEgg working. You won't need to mess around with the themes or any code. Just simply install the plugin, copy over your 8 digit code and your on your way to start click tracking your users on your website.

This plugin has been updated to use the new CloudFront delivery of the needed Javascript files which will allow faster delivery of the CrazyEgg Javascript.
