Show Notes

This weeks show notes with social media tips about Pocket, news from the Joomla world with Jessica Dunbar and misc news items that are important to you!

Social Media Tip

Pocket is a fantastic way of bookmarking articles and websites from around the web. I've seen more and more websites and applications integrating with Pocket now and it can very well be the next Pinterest so it is a good wave to jump on at the moment. I use to be a huge fan of Delicious and used that as my bookmarking service but it never worked on a mobile device. Pocket indeed caters for that and does a good job of it too.

Pocket integrates with many mobile applications with a membership of over 10 million users according to TheNextWeb.

Sign up for a free account at http://getpocket.com and download the apps and plugins to start using Pocket!

The easiest way at the moment that I can find to integrate Pocket buttons onto your website is to use AddThis which can add in over 300+ social networks and bookmarking services all in one script. Try the social sharing icons on the left side of the Joomla Beat website and you should see Pocket come up in the list when searching for it.
